The Story
After 15 years in the dental field, I was in need of a creative outlet that spoke to an integral part of who I am. A life long biophile living in the Hudson Valley, my road to floral design started with growing cut flowers in an old bull pen attached to the small cottage my husband and I live in. Getting to play with natures bounty soon turned into this business, Bittersweet. An ode to not just the wild nature of the vine but the ephemeral quality of blooms and plants, to be enjoyed and inspired by all it’s phases. In my designs, I aim to capture the organic movement and seasonal beauty the Hudson Valley has to offer.

In an effort to deliver beautiful designs that work in harmony with nature, I try to work with seasonal blooms and local growers as much as possible, they really are the most special anyway! As part of that ethos, floral foam is never used in my designs and all items that can be composted or recycled and reused are.
